Teams

A team is its own organization: its own projects, its own subscription, its own usage meters. Your personal account keeps existing alongside it — you switch between them, and work is billed to whichever org owns the project it happens in.

Creating a team

Create a team from the dashboard at New Team: pick a name, a seat type, and monthly or yearly billing, then complete checkout. You become the team's first owner. Creating a team doesn't touch your personal plan — a Pro subscription and a team membership coexist, each with its own meters.

Roles

Owners manage the team: billing, plan changes, invoices, spending limits, and membership. Every team keeps at least one owner at all times.

Editors do the work: they create and edit projects in the team, run the agent, and render — all drawing from the team's usage. They see team usage but not billing controls.

Viewers review. They're free forever, never occupy a seat, and can't spend team usage. Review links never hit a paywall.

Seat types

The seat type applies to the whole team — everyone is on the same tier, and owners can switch it any time from Billing (prorated immediately):

  • Standard — $40/user/mo. The Teams usage allowance on both meters, per seat.
  • Premium — $120/user/mo. 5x the included usage of Standard, per seat.

A billable seat is an owner or an editor. Viewers are never billed. Yearly billing saves 20%.

Inviting and removing members

Owners invite by email from the Members page, choosing the role up front. The invitee gets an email, and you also get a shareable link — forwarding it works, the link is the invitation. Invites are single-use, expire after 14 days, and can be revoked from the same page while pending.

Owners can remove any member, and anyone can leave a team themselves — except the last owner, who must transfer ownership first. Seat billing adjusts automatically: someone joining mid-cycle is charged pro-rata for the remaining period, and a removal credits the unused time toward the next invoice.

Usage and billing

Team usage is pooled: the whole team draws from shared Director and Other Models meters, sized by seat count and tier, resetting on the team's monthly billing anniversary. See Models & Pricing for rates.

Spend follows the project. Work in a team project — agent chats, renders, character sheets — bills the team's meters, never your personal ones. Work in your personal projects bills you. You never subsidize company work with your own plan, and vice versa.

On-demand usage past the included meters is a team-level setting: owners set the monthly limit (a fixed amount, unlimited, or off — off is the default), and the $2,000/day platform safeguard applies regardless. Invoices and payment details live in the team's Billing page, visible to owners.

Switching between orgs

The dashboard scopes to one org at a time. Open the account menu at the bottom of the sidebar to switch between your personal account and any team you belong to — usage, spending, billing, and members all follow the selection. In the Filmback app, you pick the org when creating a project; everything that happens in that project stays billed to that org.

FAQ

Do I need a paid personal plan to be on a team?

No. A free Hobby account can join any team; work in the team's projects runs on the team's usage. Your personal plan only matters for your personal projects.

Can I be on multiple teams?

Yes. Each team is a separate org with its own meters and billing; the org switcher moves between them. A freelance editor cutting for two production companies bills each company for its own shows.

What happens to projects when someone leaves?

Nothing. Projects belong to the team, not to the person — repos, pins, and history all stay. The leaver just loses access.

Need SSO or granular admin controls?

Enterprise adds SSO, audit, mirror-out to your own git hosting, and bring-your-own-keys. Contact Sales.
